HDANZ Code of Auditing Conduct
HDANZ supports and is committed to the Ministry of Health Code of Conduct for Designated Agency Auditing. The Code requires that HDANZ:
- Act professionally, accurately and reports findings in a consistent and unbiased manner and in accordance with the MoH requirements.
- Undertake audits in accordance with MoH requirements and procedures and in line with AS/NZS ISO 19011:2003.
- Strives to increase the competence and prestige of auditors by continuing to develop auditing skills.
- Does not misrepresent individual's qualifications, competence or experience, nor undertake auditing work beyond its abilities to satisfactorily complete.
- To disclose any activity or personal relationships that may be seen as a conflict of interest or that may influence its judgement.
- Not to enter into any activity which be in conflict with the best interests of the MoH or would prevent the objective performance of its function.
- To adhere to the requirements of legislation, regulations, codes and best practice standards such as the Privacy act and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumer's Rights.
- Not to promote or represent any business interests whilst conducting audits.
- Not to accept any inducement, commission, gift or any benefit from any interested party.
- Not to communicate false, errors or misleading information that may compromise the integrity of an audit.
- Not to act in a way that would prejudice the reputation of the MoH.
- Cooperates fully with any inquiry in the event of any complaint about the organisations performance.
We are always interested in hearing from health and disability sector auditors and welcome expressions of interest from people who are enthusiastic and passionate about improving quality in New Zealand's health and disability sector. You will need to be qualified as an auditor. You will also have clinical or management qualifications in health or you will have at least 4 years experience in the health and disability sector.
